I hate the word “faggot” or “fag” ill explain

(using someone else’s words)

Webster would say it is a bundle a sticks. Why
is a bundle of sticks then equated with a homosexual?
In the inquisition of Europe, when witches were
being burned, among those sought out for
burning were homosexuals. They were required to
gather the very “bundles of sticks” (the literal
meaning of a faggot) with which they would be
burnt. When the faggots (sticks) were running
out, homosexuals (mostly of the male sex) were thrown on the fire to keep it
burning for the acclaimed “witches”. Faggot came to refer to the homosexual to instill a fear of
death, and persecution. It’s vulgar, and horrifying. Think about the words that spill from peoples mouths… who they are offending when uttering such a 
word, even if simply in jest to a friend.

the reason for this post? I keep seeing the word used on social sites. & I’m tired of the ignorance toward it.
